City of Tribulation
A medium sized city state on the Western coast of the Sheering continent. Founded by a group of refugees 498 years prior, the city has experienced no end of trouble. Through bandit attacks to harsh seasonal storms the city has managed to not only survive but also thrive.
While the race(s) of the original founders is not certain the city has learned to welcome a wide variety of sentient species as it's denizens. From humans and dwarves to tieflings and even goblins, all can find home here so long as they do not prove themselves troublesome. Many of the outcast and misunderstood find themselves here for a new start. There are however, a number of individuals who speak against this diversity, stating that the beast races do not deserve equal footing and that the traditionally maligned races should not be trusted. These groups tend to live in the pale district to the north and east of the city. This faction has had little pull in the politics in the city until recently due to a number of popular city guard captains who share this opinion.
Architecture
"Like the people, the buildings have all been through alot. We may welcome all kinds to this city, but only the kind what put in strong foundations remain." - a Priest of Lutos.
The architecture is wild here. Many different cultures have influenced the styles of putting four walls and a roof together. In fact, four is an optional number. Everything from polished marble to half rotted wood, each building gives a peak into the personalities of its inhabitants.
Natural Resources
There are few natual resources near the city save for a modest amount of farming and forrestry. The draw to this city is it's location along the Western coast of the Shearing continent. Close to the mountains to the north and the sea to the west, Tribulation serves as a port city for moving goods south along the coast.
