Orichalcum

A slightly reddish, brassy alloy combined with drust, this magical metal is tough and accepts enchantment well. Truly mastered by kingdoms of Lantica, it is believed one of the Artificer Guilds of Duskh also know how to make it, but guard the secret well.
Armors and items made of orichalcum cost half as much to make, plus 500 Gold Crowns to cover the cost of the orichalcum itself. This doesn't do much for minor enchantmants, but can lead to massive savings on powerful enchantments.
It does take some expertise (identify it using proficiency with smithing tools) to know an orichalcum item from one made of brass, but when you know what it is, you can bet it has some kind of enchantment on it.
