Yesterday, tragedy struck the bustling city of Weelens. A group of bandits entered a local tavern and seized a young woman as a hostage in exchange for money. Before anyone had time to react, a beast appeared from nowhere and attacked the thieves with unmatched ferocity. Despite valiant efforts by a local platoon, most were slaughtered instantly while others died trying to protect their fellow citizens. The blaze quickly spread throughout the building leaving death in its wake; only one person is believed to have survived - though no mortal could account for what they witnessed that night or who this mysterious creature was. Anyone with knowledge regarding last night’s events or who can identify this “Beast of Weelens” should come forward immediately as authorities attempt to piece together what appears to be one harrowing evening filled with horror beyond measure.
