In the celestial realm, where gods and goddesses dwell, there exists an Eternal Council of Deities. This council comprises the eldest and most ancient of deities, those who have existed since the dawn of creation. Among them are the primordial forces that govern the fundamental aspects of the universe, such as the deities of light, darkness, nature, and the elements.
The Birth of New Deities:
As the mortal world grew and evolved, so too did its concepts, fears, and hopes. From these shifting tides of belief emerged the New Deities, born of the fervent prayers, dreams, and imagination of mortals. Some arose to embody concepts like Justice, Knowledge, or Innovation, while others became patrons of specific races, cultures, or professions. Others still were forged from the clash of forces or as guardians against the darkness wrought by the Abyssal Entities.
The Paradox of Timelessness:
Despite their seemingly recent origins, these new deities have always existed in the eyes of the Eternal Council. The timeless nature of the celestial realm allows for the past, present, and future to coexist simultaneously. To the older deities, their younger counterparts have always existed in some form.
Harmony and Discord:
The interplay between the ancient and new deities creates a complex web of relationships within the celestial realm. In turn, the younger deities strive to earn their place in the eternal hierarchy, seeking to prove their significance.
