Law of Balance

The Universal Constant:

Balance is the silent law that governs all of Terra, woven deeper than even the Magic that flows through it. For every action, there is a reaction; for every force taken, a force must eventually be returned. No deed, no creation, no destruction occurs without echoing consequences. Though unseen and often delayed, the universe always seeks to right itself.

The Cost of Power:

All beings—mortal, spirit, or otherwise—who draw heavily upon Terra’s resources, whether through magic, lifeforce, or physical means, unknowingly contribute to an unseen ledger. When this ledger becomes unbalanced, Terra reacts—sometimes subtly, sometimes catastrophically—until equilibrium is restored.

Restoration Through Rebirth:

Where forests are razed, new growth eventually claims the ruins. Where magic scours the land, new ley lines may form in unexpected places. Even death feeds life, for the energies of the fallen nourish the unseen forces of renewal. Terra’s cycle is endless: destruction and creation feeding one another.

The Breath of Terra:

Terra itself is seen by some mystics as a living entity, breathing in and out across millennia. When mortal actions disturb its breath, great shifts—storms, earthquakes, magical anomalies—may occur as the world corrects itself.
