Erinyes, the Voidqueen

Origin:

Erinyes was birthed from the Primordial Abyss itself, formed not from flesh or bone but from pure, formless emptiness. She is one of the oldest Abyssal Paragons, predating even the shaping of the mortal worlds. Where the Abyss was wild and senseless, Erinyes gave it a terrible purpose: the systematic extinguishing of all light, life, and hope.   Unlike many Demon Lords who embodied rage, disease, or chaos, Erinyes was cold, patient, and inexorable — the slow crushing of possibility itself.

Before the War:

Erinyes ruled a realm known as the Silent Expanse, an endless void where the last flickers of dead stars drifted through a frozen sky. Mortals who dreamed too deeply of despair could find themselves pulled into her domain, becoming hollowed shades loyal only to her will.   She rarely acted impulsively. Instead, her influence seeped into the minds of weak or despairing beings, draining them slowly over years or decades. Empires collapsed from within under her whispered promises of inevitable ruin.   Among the Demon Lords, she was respected and feared for her subtlety — even Thal'zekar, master of dreams, tread carefully around her.

During the Great War:

When the Abyssal Paragons launched their full assault on the mortal world, Erinyes played a strategic role. She was not at the front lines but instead sowed division among mortal kingdoms. Those touched by her influence abandoned their alliances, betrayed comrades, or simply gave up hope entirely.   It was said that entire armies laid down their weapons after her black banners were seen on the horizon, driven to despair without a single blade drawn.   Her main failure came when a coalition of mortal sorcerers and priests developed The Radiance, a forbidden spell that could resist her aura of despair. Through this, her influence was blunted, forcing her into open confrontation where she was less effective.   Ultimately, she was driven back into the Rift, though not without leaving scars across the mortal realms — some kingdoms never recovered from her touch.

After the War:

Sealed within the Silent Expanse once more, Erinyes has not remained idle. She seeks to fray the seals from within, corrupting the guardians who protect the Citadel of Eternal Light. Her whispers still reach mortal ears — dreamers, philosophers, and rulers all hear the faint call of the Voidqueen in their darkest moments.   Her hatred for the mortal races has deepened, but so has her patience. She knows that brute force failed. Now, she sharpens despair like a blade, waiting for the perfect moment to strike again.

the Current Era:

Erinyes has begun to craft a new order within her realm: the Eclipsed Court — a gathering of mortal souls who fully surrendered to the void and were reshaped into her perfect agents. These beings, half-void and half-mortal, serve as her fingers reaching into the world, ensuring that when the seals finally fall, the kingdoms of men will already be weakened beyond recovery.   The mortals do not yet realize:
  the war never truly ended.
It only slowed to a silent, patient crawl.
