Out of the Frying Pan and Into the Fire

General Summary

After getting lodging at The Skeletal Arms and information from Edward "Old' Peculiar, they learn that The Church of Saint Dumas is the central location where the rot seems to be originating. However, they are halted from their journey by the strange death of Jeremy, who has had his heart and liver torn from his body in the dark of night. A strange red-eyed creature drives the group back into the safety of the town, but upon returning, they learn of the disappearance of Daisy Duke. Finally gaining access to both the church and The Terrorvale Crypt, the party delves deeper only to find Reverend John standing within a room of coffins. Kay- Ron and Luna attempt negotiations but are halted by the reverend's holy blade. After a bloody battle, the group tears open Israphel's casket to find, not a body but a staircase that leads deeper. At the base of this staircase is the Dark Fortress, a castle of jet-black rock and stone. The fortress is not without its guard, as a suit of armor forms around a spectral body and clutches its weapon. The group and Old Peculiar are just able to hold off the armor as they enter the final chamber, a room with a strange, green, pulsating rift that seems to be calling to them. Peculiar leads the charge with his last words being “For Daisy’.
