Chapter 11: Battle for the Breach

General Summary

After arriving at Verigans Hold the party is greeted by Templar Adaephon who is the uncle of Edward "Old' Peculiar. He tells them of the strange power the sand seems to hold, it almost acts as a plague spreading like wildvine, choking the land till it died. He then points out along the wall to a breach were the sand is pouring into the rest of Thea. Edward "Old' Peculiar has been off trying to fix the breach but has not returned for some time. The party decides to go save their friend and off they go with the strange map in hand. They soon find a large gaping hole in the wall with a wounded Old Peculiar not too far from it. He has been accosted by the terrors of the sands and with the brazier unlit the beasts will continue to come forth. The party must contend with a Bronze Dragon Wyrmling, a Giant Scorpion, and the Animated armor from the Dark Fortress. After a tough fight, the party is able to repair the wall and returned to Verigan's Hold. Finally, showing both Old Peculiar and Adaephon the strange map fragment they are both unfamiliar with the map so to find the other 3 pieces the party must find someone older and attuned to the magical side of the map
