Source of Vessa

Source of Vessa is a spring in the Southern Mountains from which the river Adan flows. It is also a sacred place and place of worship of Vessa, goddess of water and sea. Drinking water directly from the source grants the drinker divine powers. For hundreds of years recruits of holy orders have walked the path to the source to drink the water and aquire their powers. The pilgrimage is the last part of their preparation before taking the vows.

The source attendant gave us special bowls to gather water into and lead us towards the source. He explained that the magic of Vessa is limited to the source and its immediate surroundings. A couple of meters from the source it disappears and drinking the water there has no effect on a human
