Hammerfall

The indomitable capital of Lanavess, Hammerfall stands as a divine mark on the landscape of Terra Argos, a reminder of the power of the Twelve and the devastation of the war that they fought. The city sits at the site of the final blow of the War of Severence, where Lanavar brought down his mighty hammer and defeated Rail, forever sequestering the divinity of the Twelve away from Terra Argos itself. 
The hammer now lies in a deep valley in the middle of the Anvil Peaks, its handle extending above even the highest peaks of the mountains. The city rings the hammer structure, spiraling up the handle all the way to the Temple of Lanavar that rests at its peak. Griffons, large birds, and other flying creatures of various kinds flock back and forth between the Hammershaft and the surrounding peaks, ferrying travelers to different parts of the city, while large series' of clockwork elevators provide easy routes up and down the hammer itself.
