Soulsea

The heart of DunMornay's trade, Soulsea is a bustling hub of activity. Containing the docks and much of the river, there is constantly people around and business being undertaken, legal and illegal. Soulsea has expanded at a steady rate, slowly swallowing land as the city grown. It is the most pragmatic and mercenary of boroughs, as the burgomeisters are generally merchants, which has led to some problems over the years.


While not wealthy, Soulsea sees a lot of wealth, which leads to lots of crime. The Watch here are the toughest in the city, as are the criminals. Many times the burgomeisters and the crime lords are the same people, or are required to work together. Despite this, Soulsea is the lifeblood of DunMornay.

Architecture

Soulsea is a mix of wharfs, warehouses and businesses. As Soulsea meets the other boroughs, it becomes a market where nearly anything can be found. Mixed in with these are pockets of residential areas, usually inhabited by those who work the docks or market. These are generally tenements or terraces, with the latter being more likely to be home to families.
