Historical Details

Background

Found at the Chapel of Many Gods (locus multorum deorum) in the Raven's Rock keep. Evidently taken as plunder in a raid on a nearby lizardfolk encampment. The Lizardfolk claimed to have received it from the 'moist depths', the deep muddy sinkhole in the swamps, from which strange mud-elementals and worse creatures occasionally proceed. The lizardfolk further claim to retain another tablet, and to have had three others. The obscurity of the scholarship on this topic makes it impossible to know the order the tablets are meant to be taken in, but this was the first tablet found by adventurers in the Keep on the Borderlands.
