Annabeth Holua
Annabeth Holua is Captain Carford's romantic connection - a little too old and serious to be called a 'girlfriend', but the term 'lover' seems loaded with the wrong kind of meaning too. They're clearly great friends with each other first, and what may or may not happen in the bedroom is a topic of avid speculation - but generally not when either Carford or Holua are around to hear it, or to clarify for anyone.
Annabeth is a chemist and dyemaker by trade, and rents a workshop in the Guildhall. She also has a rented 10x10 section in the Keep warehouse for her barrels and sacks of minerals and raw materials. She provides many of the dyes used by the other textile workers in the Keep and exports dye parcels in small packages to Marleven and to Tiniath, a fortified city-state about fifty miles east of the Keep. This is not particularly difficult or dangerous work, but it does involve some expensive materials, and her initial interest in the Bailiff was as a means of ensuring her materials were kept safe.
