Crown parasite

A parasitic organism shaped like a finely made ancient crown. When picked up by a person the parasite deems ambitious/powerfull enough, it will influence the person into making themself monarch. The person will strive to grow in power and wealth. When the kingdom has reached a certain level of power the crown parasite will take direct controll and fuse permanently with the afflicted person. Then it will leech of the kingdoms prosperity to feed its own greed and hunger.
