Not many beings that encounter the unikernel believe threat it is a threat at first. Reactions tend to fall into three camps, food, admiration or a desire to pet it. Two of these can be quite harmful to the being encountering it. The unikernel is a rare little creature. Although very, very distantly related to the unicorns, the only similarity physically is its tiny horn. Ulike the silky gair of the unicorn, the unikernel is covered in a dense, fluffy fur imbued with magic. Defensively this fur gives it far more protection to harmful damage than it would naturally have. The unikernel is also far more aggressive than a unicorn, and will not hesitate to attack if threatened. This could go some way to explaining why they’re so rare. The other quality which is pretty obvious is its ability to hover. It is difficult to ascertain whether they actually have legs beneath all that fur, and while in the air they just look like tiny balls of fluff with a horn and an angry face. This sight is all the more terrifying when the unikernel has been hiding undetected waiting for an opportunity to ambush. However a unikernel has a unique cycle where it sleeps in the winter and spring months as a hibernation period. They roll up like a ball and hide away their ears, horn and face. In this state they remain unresponsive. However this is the reason for their rarity, they are completely vulnerable in this stage and often die being eaten or even just squashed.
