Gygax Gardens

Gigax Gardens is one of Drakmort's oldest and most historic districts; in modern times, it is mainly known as the location of the Drakmort Archives as well as the Coleville Academy of Mages. As the name implies, the district is also known for its lush green spaces, often being referred to as an oasis in the otherwise barren desert city.

Notable Locations:

• The Drakmort Archives is a vast library representing all of the city of Drakmort's accumulated historical knowledge. The Archives are managed by the Drakmort Archivists' Guild, who have a reputation for being highly protective of the Archives' most treasured documents. While this may be the case, the Guild has been known to grant special access to adventurers who have proven themselves to be responsible and trustworthy.
• The Coleville Academy of Mages, while not as large or prestigious as the magical universities of Renouvelle, is nonetheless greatly respected as a learning institute for any bright-eyed young mage with the talent (and coin) to become a full-fledged wizard. The Academy also features an adjoining bards' college; the two programs are well-known for the intense rivalry between their respective student bodies.
• Maggie's Roost is a massive birds' nest located on the roof of the Academy's main building; those brave enough to climb the building may come face-to-face with a giant magpie by the name of Maggie. Maggie is a collector of magic items, and may be willing to "trade" with adventurers for items of equal value; however, past attempts by particularly cunning traders to swindle Maggie out of her best items have left the magpie wary of new arrivals.
