The Aethanaeum

Known to many as "The Mystic's Library", the Aethanaeum is a non-Euclidean pocket of space that appears as a disorganized library. Contained within its messy shelves are books that depict every life lived throughout all time. The entrance to the Aethanaeum appears as a simple door, but one with an ethereal light leaking from the crack at the bottom.
The place and time the Aethanaeum may appear are impossible to predict, though it seems to move with a will of its own, choosing to present itself only to very particular individuals, known as Visitors, throughout history. These individuals, despite their different time periods, have also run into one another within the library, demonstrating the Aethanaeum's disregard for the workings of time.
Despite this, however, the Visitors that exit the Mystic's Library often end up precisely when and where they entered, no matter how long they spend within. Visitors are also incapable of reading, or even locating, any books that mention personal details yet to come, so they never leave with information about their futures.
The Aethanaeum is one of the primary ways Visitors have traveled between worlds.
