Severnfyrd

Severnfyrd is the northernmost, central region of Tentandia. It is one of two regions along with Midlond which are currently ruled by Lord Graendrek. Severnfyrd is bordered by Woodsmere and Ysnorr to the east, the Midlond to the south (the Crownlands being the southern border of Graendrek's territory), and Kopenyes to the west. 
The region is mountainous, with the majority of its landmass occupied by the Mendi Mountains.  The northern coast of Severnfyrd is populated with numerous small and largely isolated towns and cities due to the rocky and tumultuous nature of this coastline.  Jian Orthiad was the largest city in this region, however its recent destruction has allowed numerous smaller port towns to grow.  Smaller cities like Vernlyes, Tyrhold, and Mount Shudal, as well as large towns like Chartheff, Zsuloch, and Port Prestige have begun filling the role of a major trade port for the region.
The main exports of Severnfyrd are timber and stone, with the forests surrounding and quarries within the Mendi Mountains producing much of the regions wealth.  Trade from foreign kingdoms had made Severnfyrd a wealthy region, with commerce flowing through the ports of Jian Orthiad at phenomenal rates.  Much of this commerce has moved elsewhere in recent years, though with the rebuilding of the city of the Thunder Lords this commerce is beginning to return. 
Political players in this region include the dwarves of Vioska, various elven clans of the forest realms, and the newly formed "Northern Alliance", a quasi-autonomous political faction formed in the ruins of Jian Orthiad.
