Ujiyasu Daidoji (a.k.a. Uji, Kensaku, Battousai)

Ujiyasu is a member of the Hanamura Clan and the Daidoji Family. He grew up in the swamp town of Gamasuramu. Ujiyasu has traveled much of Tennoji and while his name had spread far and wide, it's not all for the reasons a younger Uji would have dreamed. He wears a rare head of blonde hair and sports blue eyes, both uncommon to the area lending to his gaijin appearance and much of why he is not taken seriously in courtly matters although he is of Tennojin decent.

Apparel & Accessories

Often wears blue and prefers straw hats to kabuto. Daisho always on left side, with his unholy katana on his back, tied closed with its scabbard. The armor worn concealed under the clothes offers ample protection, however this is increased when he dons his full suit that he requested be made to integrate into his distinctive style and highlights his affect of harmlessness.

Ujiyasu carries few things on him however he does mange to carry specialized shinobi tools and a wrist mounted kunai dispenser into battle.

Personal history

Ujiyasu grew up in the swamps of Gamasuramu after being adopted by the great swordsman Daidoji Daisuke. He grew up learning Tenin Tsuru-ryu from his father. During this time, Ujiyasu practiced honorable poverty and learned much working alongside the lowere castes in the swampy village. While many did not envy those who lived in Gamasuramu, the people who lived there lived there very happily. He set out for his gempuku at 16 in 1495, where he wowed the crowds at the Topaz Championship although he failed to win the title of Topaz Champion, he did however assist in foiling a plot to sabotage the games. After his gempuku he was given an opportunity to become an one of the esteemed Emerald Magistrates. During his testing, along with his testing group whom he had met all at the Topaz Championship in 1496, stumbled onto many clues of and even solved the murder of the recently deceased Emerald Champion, the head of the organization. He became one of the Emerald Magistrates officially, and shortly after assisted in many arrests during this time. Along with some other magistrates he had traveled with, Ujiyasu managed to help retake Genshi no Shiro from a great oni, and foiled the plots of Kitsu Sakori, a deadly Maho Tsukai who seeked great power from the oni. After his stint in the dark south, Uji accompanied Otaku Hiyori north in an attempt to rescue her city, Kyukei-jo by birthright in 1497. During the assault, Ujiyasu was ordered to go on a mission of great importance from the leaders of Sin-ui Nala . Along with his friend Mirumoto Rainori  and his accomplice Hanzo Tsumata, the three managed to dispatch there targets. However one of Uji's targets was an unarmed woman he was forced to strike down at the behest of his lords. Karma followed him and Ujiyasu was racked with guilt. He withdrew south to sell his sword in an effort to rectify his honor when Mirumoto Rainori  had returned to ask his help in his quest. The money was hard to say no to, and Ujiyasu accepted. As they journeyed, Uji managed to finally make it back to Gamasuramu, only to find his clan slaughtered.
