Tenin Tsuru-ryu

The Way of the Heavenly Crane

A rare dueling style originating from Daikaigan, it is a style that was characterized by it's high speed and killing potential. A master of this style is a duelist to be feared as the quick movement associated with the style favor Air, Void, and Water stance, the master is hard pressed to provide an opening and even harder pressed to miss a stroke from his blade.
Based on the Kakita Duelist school in the CRB

History

Few people know of Tennin Tsuru-ryu, and fewer teach it. The style is greatly feared among those who have made particularly powerful enemies n the Hanamura Clan and feared even more by those that meet an master of it's style in a duel. Created in 1167 by Todoroki Buddai and further improved by the great swordsman Kawakami Gensei in 1345, many seek masters to teach it's ways but true maters are hesititant to teach the wrong pupil.

Execution

The style features quick movements and feints to throw enemies off balance physically and emotionally. Building an enemies strife is important in a duel for a master as he believes one strike is all it must take. The quick flourishes and impractical movement at times makes it hard to target the wielder of the style.

Components and tools

Precipices of the style teach only how to kill with the sword, and offers little training with polearms and blunt weapons. Archery and sword maintenance are common teachings however, leading many that study the style to lives in forges outside of battle.

Participants

The only known sensei of the style in Tennoji until recently was Daidoji Daisuke, and as he had recently been murdered, there are no known teachers of this style today.
