Of course, the uses of corpomancy developed by Nelus and Lacrine had numerous applications for healing the human body. From healing minor cuts to treating mortal wounds, it had the potential to revolutionize the world.

Access & Availability

Only the two inventors knew about the rediscovered form of magic. They recorded all the knowledge they derived from years of study in detailed manuscripts. After their tragic deaths, only those remained. Unfortunately, those were lost not long after. Corpomancy was once again lost to the world.

Complexity

As with other discoverable magics, the initial rituals were long and complicated. Numerous magical items were required to complete the steps to reach the desired results. However, once discoveries were made and written down, they were easier to repeat.

Discovery

Corpomancy was the magical art of repairing bodily tissues. Since magical skills in the known world were famous for frequent setbacks, corpomancy has been lost and rediscovered twice before. The most extreme form of magic on Teneterra was discovered by the husband and wife team after many years of experimenting with nefarious and powerful magic. They were known to history as Nelus and Lacrine. Both were of noble birth and scholars who scoured libraries throughout the known world for valuable texts. Numerous rituals ended in failure. One day, Nelus sliced open his palm almost to the bone during one of the rituals. Much to his surprise, Lacrine stopped the bleeding and closed the wound without stitches or remedies. They were unable to repeat this miracle until months later when Lacrine tripped and broke her leg. A skilled physician friend set the fracture, but the leg festered and fever set in. Before she grew too weak, they performed another ritual out of desperation. The leg healed, and the infection disappeared. After this incident, the couple was determined to develop corpomancy into practical magical art.
