The Mithril Gauntlet

The Mithril Gauntlet is a network of mercenaries for hire spread across Temshai. Major cities house guildhalls where citizens with coin can hire trained fighters to solve problems requiring muscle and skill. Members are frequently called upon to dispatch beasts, provide escort, or rough up those who owe money. Halls and members are easily identified by the signs and tabards depicting a silvery gauntlet against a royal blue background. To hire Gauntlet heavies, citizens must file a dispatch order with guild taskmasters in the guildhall. While the guildhalls usually work independently, taskmasters are under the purview of the Master of Dispatches in the guildhall in Dun Girimbor's market quarter, close to the Mithril-Bound Keg pub.
Guild membership is easily obtained by those who can prove their worth, and as long as one remains in good standing with the guild, they have access to any of the halls, providing food and accommodation. Jobs are given out based on required skills to whoever is available at the time; the guild accepts wandering parties of adventurers but also looks out for their more regular members first.
