Haliskar University

While other locations across Temshai provide higher education, none compare to Haliskar University, as it is both the largest and most renowned. Located in Beacon's Everwick Lake borough, the university campus is a ring of individual colleges focused on different specialties, intermingled with administration buildings. Inside the ring, a large park and commercial area caters to the students, giving them distractions between classes, though many stick to their own individual college.
Those with magical inclinations can hone their art in the Mystic Towers, located to the northeast, overlooking Starspire Rest. To the east is the Lyceum of the Written Word, where students learn about history and factual and creative writing. The Survivalist's College lies to the southeast, and teaches wilderness skills, ranged combat, and mapmaking and exploration. The Champion's Hall lies to the west, bordering Pitfrey Hollow; instructors teach every kind of physical combat, strategy, and tactics. The Innovator's Workshop is to the southwest, where some of Temshai's brightest minds learn mathematics, engineering, and design. To the south, the Craftsman's College teaches advanced ways to work with stone, wood, and metal that go beyond what a typical apprenticeship would teach; students can go on to make ornate armour and weapons, for example, instead of becoming another village blacksmith in their hometown.
Outside the circle, the Bard's College lies in the heart of Starspire Rest, giving students the opportunity to hone their artistic endeavours by being surrounded by more experienced practitioners of the arts.
