Everwick Lake

Everwick Lake is a large lake on a plateau in the centre of Beacon. Walled off and gated, it's the home of Haliskar University, built along the south side of the lake. The gates are always open, except in emergency situations, allowing the rest of Beacon's residents to enjoy the lake should they wish. The borough's purpose is to support the university, with most university staff and faculty living in the borough in residential pockets on the north side of the lake.
Students live in large villages just outside the university proper, on the south side of the lake. While not overly commercial, those far away from home can find stores peddling the comforts of home, wherever home may be across Temshai. Pubs, of course, are a common sight, and nearly every student has their favourite.
