Orc
Dorgug sat on the crags overlooking the valley below. At dusk, the Blackclaw tribe would raid the town there and have enough food for five winters. The large bear pelt rustled over the broad shoulders of his grey skin, the biting cold not appearing to phase the old Orc. He had seen countless raids, countless promises, and countless deaths at the hands of those who live behind walls. As the sun began to fall, he saw his kin raise their weapons, and he raised his for what he thought was his last and most glorious time.
Orcs, while making up a sizable portion of threat to the civilized world of Telnoth, only live in clans and tribes scattered across the world. They were created when Gruumsh, The Stormrazor struck stone with lightning, and shed his own blood into the shaped rock to give his creations life. To this day, this is revered as among the most primal orcs as The Waking. They are bulky in stature, often rising to be seven to eight foot tall if one gets that old and having broad, muscular builds. Orcs tend to have a ferocious nature about them, and are often shunned by society. This has caused many orc tribes to become self-isolated and spiteful of outsiders; only a few tribes have been able to trade with civilization.
To an Orc, their tribe (or lack of one) is a way of life. Their tribe defines their way of thinking; and if they do not have a tribe, they often strive for their own path. An Orc who is an adventurer may have been exiled from their tribe, or may be the sole survivor of an attack and is seeking revenge or a new life.
