Even before the Gates of Zarahel, mortals looked to the stars to divine what the gods wanted from them. The one who most frequently answered was Istus, who was align the stars into constellations to give her priests and clerics insight on their next actions. When she becaome one of The Beacon Gods, She continued this role with her priests in small temples, who would divine certain fates.
