Halfling

Bihilp sat on the porch of his home, his feet hanging off the edge of his chair and the pipe hanging from his mouth. His life was quiet after he retired from guard duty in the Imperial Capitol, but he enjoyed it quite a bit. His grandkids visited twice a month, he got to see his own kids more frequently, and he got to grow his own leaf. Everything was nice and quiet at his home. He hopped off his chair with a creak as the hairy feet hit the floor and he made his way back inside, the first drops of rain beginning to fall.   Halflings are simple folk who do not need much to feel happy in life. Most halflings want a strong sense of community, family, and personal fulfillment and they will feel they have lived their life to the fullest. They can integrate into most other societies, and can defend them like they have lived their all their lives. Their happy-go-lucky demeanor lets them have a sense of welcome and most other races are unassuming and unbiased at first of a halfling who has normal clothes and appearance.   Halflings do not see adventuring as a business opportunity, or a epic quest, but as a way to defend their community and family. If they can get rid of evil or gain money to send back home to help with endeavors the house may be going through, that is all that matters. They also may want to see the vast world that exists outside of their small community, and see new sights.   Halflings come in two core subraces:   -Lightfoot Halflings are stealthier than their stout cousins, and can blend in any crowd better. They also have sharper tongue.   -Stout Halflings can take more of a beating, and even are more resilient to common poisons.
