The stout Dwarven figure looked up at her red-skinned, fire-haired accomplice, whose arms were crossed as the two sat in a jail cell, "He says one bad thing about our tunic, and you cast fire magic at him?". The Fire Genasi, shrugging her shoulders, "The slouch got what he deserves; no man, noble or peasant, is gonna disrespect the garbs I paid one hundred gold for. I look good gods damn!".

Genasi, recent arrivals to the material plane, are the essence of a elemental plane compromised into a humanoid shape. This is often the result of a magical surge of the plane in question, or that plane's djinn having a child with a mortal on the material plane. Depending on which type of Genasi, their demeanor and general personality can vary. They originally lived on their respective elemental planes, but have since migrated into the material plane after the Zarahel Calamity.
There are Four types of Genasi, each from their respective elemental plane:
-Air Genasi are ones who have a curious nature about the world and things they do not understand. They have their wits about them, and tend to get into some form of trouble on the fact of social ignorance of culture and laws. Most Air Genasi have white or blue skin and flowing white hair. They have the ability to levitate themselves or another person around them if they wish.
-Earth Genasi are the stoic, serious members of the Genasi family. Tending to be to the point and crass, they have made for excellent tacticians and leaders in the history of factions that welcomed them. Earth Genasi are often bald, having a rocky surface on their skin that occasionally twinkles. They even can manipulate the ground around them to become more hidden.
-Fire Genasi can be hot-headed, impatient, and impulsive. They act without a second thought, and are the most quick to get into trouble. Their rash thinking and temper is second only to beings that come from the elemental plane of fire. Their skin is red and they more often than not have orange or even flaming hair. They can manipulate fire magic at a minor level thanks to their bloodline.
-Water Genasi are the polar opposite of their red-blood kin; preferring to be calm in mind and spirit. They encounter problems with thinking and reason and make a decision. Their skin is often blue or green and their hair is often seen floating as it underwater. They can even shape or even summon and dismiss water at will thanks to the gifts from their ancestors.

Anatomy

The specific traits of a Genasi are dependent of what plane they are from. Fire Genasi have fire-like hair, while Air Genasi have white hair that flows like wind, and so on.

Genetics and Reproduction

Genasi of different elements are incompatible when it comes to reproducing, and there have been no reports of a half-genasi in their short history of reproduction. A child born between a one-Genasi family is always another Genasi.

Growth Rate & Stages

Genasi hit their adult stages at the age of 10 due to their primordial nature. They can live to be around the age of 130 years on average.
