Changeling
"You accuse me of hiring a monster, judge. But if you ask me you need all the help you can get. Someone who can walk, talk, love, and kill like your wife is just what we need to catch the man you want dead in the act. Just need to be patient, they need to know how your woman does it first."
-Rilvus Zinhorn, discussing a changeling operative
Originating in the Feywild, Changelings have a natural instinct to develop identity, or perhaps steal it. They take on the persona of various individuals, infiltrating societies to accomplish their goals. Changelings often find themselves in their own groups, as most societies do not look kindly upon on shape-shifting race. Some changeling communities grow to even be village-sized, living in isolation and getting their resources by taking on the personas of locals or merchants.
Changelings are a topic of controversy due to their shape-shifting nature. They are given criticism for the ability to impersonate wives and husbands, and may even be attacked in the less tolerable places of Telnoth if they are outed. A Changeling may seek to get away from dangerous people through adventuring, or just want to learn new identities for their community.
