Centaur

"Take heed of my words." Cardis Stonehoof spoke. The young centaur at his side peered deeply into the lake, eying a brightly colored fish before spearing it out of the water. Cardis grabbed the youngling's attention with a loud cough, "People like us, we must maintain focus. We are vigilant protectors of our fey realm. We cannot be distracted by small things, despite the temptation to do so.". He looks down at the fish, and the young centaur holding it, "Come along now, there is much to do.".
Centaurs, originating from the Feywild, are stewards and stalwart protectors of their realm. They are a nomadic people, despite being the major race of one the major Fey Courts, the Court of Valor. They roam and fight the corrupting threats that hold danger against the courts of the Feywild.
Centaurs that become adventurers are left home either by choice or by exile. Being exiled means a lot to most centaurs, as it means they are forced to undergo a ritual that makes them unable to find their home herd.
