Bugbear
"I saw him lurching over the bush-line, captain. He was no slouch with that mace though. Once I spotted him and threatened him for killing the village livestock, he smacked me so hard I was knocked out cold. Shame you only found him napping a couple of miles away, otherwise I don't think we would have caught him"
-Guard Gill Garris, giving his report
Bugbears are fierce, brutal, and swift acting goblonoids who have a surprisingly powerful body build underneath the fur. They have longer limbs than most humanoids, and can be surprisingly sneaky for their size. Despite these things, they have a tendency to not want to work. Most bugbears have made a habit of bullying other creatures into doing their work for them, and making small warbands that take things from other factions and groups. They want to put the least amount of effort into a solution as possible, and prefer to sneak around rather than fight.
Bugbears being seen with an adventuring party is a surprise to be sure, but the benefits they provide are most likely for the rewards that it brings. Unless something truly changes their heart, a Bugbear is really only in it to get something out of it.
