Tracing their heritage form the elemental plane of air, Aarokocra are as stubborn as the djinn who role their cloudy domain. Gifted with the ability to fly, as well as a sense of pride in their heightened senses, they favor fighting from the sky rather than in enclosed spaces. There have even been records of Aarokocra adventurers trying to refuse to take on quests involving underground ruins because it prevents their freedom of movement. They love open space where they can move around, and they favor flying over any other form of travel.
Aarokocra love the open sky, and want to see every corner of it. This want to travel leaves them wanting to adventure in their younger years. As they get older however, they wish to settle down, make a home for themselves, a live the rest of their days in a calm peace with open wind.

Anatomy

Aarokocra have a humanoid shape, but have feathered bodies and bird-like legs. They also have two wings that come out of the back, perfect for flying.

Genetics and Reproduction

Aarokocra are one of the few humanoid species that lay eggs, which hatch after a period of two weeks average.
