Roulette
A game said to be older than the hills, roulette started its life as an experiment in perpetual motion.
Objective: Players bet on where a ball will land on a spinning wheel divided into numbered and colored pockets. Wheel Layout: The wheel has 37 pockets (European) or 38 pockets (American), numbered 0–36, with an additional 00 in American roulette. The pockets alternate between red and black, with 0 (and 00) being green.Bet Types: Inside Bets: Wagers on specific numbers or combinations of numbers, including Straight (single number), Split (two numbers), Street (three numbers), Corner (four numbers), and Line (six numbers).
Outside Bets: Wagers on broader outcomes, such as Red/Black, Odd/Even, High/Low (1–18 or 19–36), Dozens, or Columns.
Gameplay: Players place their bets on the roulette table before the dealer spins the wheel. The dealer spins the wheel and releases a ball in the opposite direction. When the ball lands in a pocket, the dealer announces the winning number and settles the bets.
Payouts: Payouts vary based on the type of bet, with higher odds for more specific bets (e.g., Straight bet pays 35:1).
