Arctic Dew

A compound created by Cunam Hahn queens from specialized ducts found behind their overly large eyes. It is a concentrate and very precious to the hive mind, as they use it in every ritual they perform, all of which honor their queens. The material is consumed in liquid form, mixed with wateer to a dilution of no greater than one percent.

Warning: Too much arctic dew is very dangerous, and can cause unpredictable effects.

Manufacturing process

It leaks out of the cunam hahn queens' eyes as tears, sweet and sticky, and is collected in vials the cunam hahn call "amphorules". It is then transferred to a larger, clear storage container shaped of ice that has a bright, white light shining on it for a fortnight (much like the light of a constant full moon). The queens then bless it and distribute it amongst the drones and workers, who consume it during rituals and parties.

History

The queens of the cunam hahn produce this jelly, storing it for use by the drones when needed. It gives them quite a physical boost, and helps to fine tune their psychic communication.

Significance

A cunam hahn drone that receives the Arctic Dew during a ceremony is considered to be, and feels, special and personally connected to the queen.
