Bolgid Humans (Fear Bolg)

[Fear Cliste Bolgis]

Bolgids, more commonly known as "Fear Bolg," were a species of humans which at its apex constituted approximately 25% of the world's total population, and ranged across the Heremonian midlands from the Nolverian Peninsula to the Torrian Sea. They were exterminated in the late fourth century during the Kiltic Conquest of Nolveria.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Bolgids had a humanoid body made up of a body core containing the thoracic and abdominal organs, a head upon a neck, two arms with hands and two legs with feet. With minor exceptions, Bolgid anatomy and physiology were very similar to Cynids and Siminids. Bolgids had the same limb configurations and proportions as Siminids, but on a slightly smaller scale. They were the smallest of Telluria's four human species, shorter and slighter than the others. The Bolgid skull had flatter facial bones than Cynids and Felids, with a heavy brow ridge, and a low, flat skull cap bisected by a pronounced coronal keel. The cranial vault was large, proportionally comparable to that of Cynids, and thickened mandibles made the jaws extremely powerful.

Bolgids walked erect with a gait similar to Siminids. They had opposable thumbs, and no visible tail. Although like all humans, Bolgids varied somewhat in body size and shape, the range of variance was narrower among Bolgid populations. Unlike other humans, there was very little size variance between the sexes among the Bolgids. The typical Bolgid, whether male or female, stood approximately 1.66 yds. tall and weighed approximately 100 pds.
