Light Footmen

Not nearly the most commonly equipped soldier, a Light Footman is a scout or reconnaissance unit. Most will have padded leather armor, but little more. Often equipped with swords and short bows. Employed by every military. 
When in pitched battle, the Light Footmen are often useful in outflanking the enemy rather than frontal combat.
