Vaquero


"Vaquero" is the name for ranchers and cattle herders in the frontier territories of the Iron Dominion. The name comes from the Salvoñol word for the early farmers and ranchers in the Salvoñian colonies of the Faylen Gulf. The name carried over into the Iron Dominion.

Purpose

Vaqueros serve a very important role in the economic development of Chapel Valley, and are the driving force behind the settlement of the territory. 

Social Status

Vaqueros are viewed with respect and admiration among the settlers of the Valley, but are largely looked down upon by the middle and upper class citizens of the Gulf and Northwest provinces of the Dominion.
