Bounty Hunter

The practice of bounty hunting has existed on Tellandria for a very long time. Governments have always found a need to contract out to well-armed citizens to capture or kill wanted criminals, especially when those governments are unable or unwilling to send their own law enforcement agents.

Bounty hunters are used by law enforcement when they do not have the time, resources, or capability to track down a wanted criminal on their own.  In the Iron Dominion, bounty hunters are relied on by law enforcement in the frontier territories to catch criminals that easily evade the Frontier Guard patrols.

Social Status

The perception of bounty hunters varies greatly depending on location and socioeconomic status. They are typically viewed with disdain and fear in more rural areas and treated with respect in metropolitan areas.
