Game 4 - Gold and Gobins
General Summary
PGAC - 1512 - Spring - 18th to 20th
The Heros quickly decided they needed to go into the North West section of the cave and attempt to find a second exit. They were able to find a filled in entrance that looked like it had been intentionally done with mine tailings. The group attempted to dig their way out with hands and feet until Arliden Ruh remembered she had packed a shovel. After a bit of work they were able to make their way out and despite seeing interesting objects in the cave, decided it was best to keep after the Croblins that had escaped.
Upon exiting they found that it was still raining but decided to attempt to track the Croblins regardless. Pax Uhtredson with the help of Arliden Ruh and the blessing of Ves, God of Nature was able to track the Croblins into the treeline near Spring Town.
Deciding the best tactic was to rush the retreating group of six goblins they were able to quickly overpower and dispatch all but one. The remaining goblin was captured using hideous laughter and then tied with rope. Upon interrogation with the strangly charasmatic goblin it was found that his name was Vratec and that the Croblins were all accounted for. It was determined that Morgoc was the leader and had been meeting with a shady individual in Port Town selling the sunlight phobic potion (Blueshade ) that the group had suspected was being manufactured by the Croblins.
Unable to talk the group into allowing him to join them he was instead gagged with the intent of being handed over too Capitan Heldar Tisus upon return to The CrossRoads. The group was then able to leave and visit The Horses and convinced them to join the group (under contract) and then continued on their way.
Along the trip they ran into a group and deciding they wanted to have Vratec on the back of a horse realized they would need fruit or vegetables (according to the contract with the horses). After a slip of the tongue the group ended up paying a gold to an older man for a basket of foods. Although excited for the great deal, the seller was not particularly keen on having Arawn mab Emrys near his cart and so the group parted ways at the behest of Asher.
Upon arriving into the town later that day they found that despite the storm and heavy rains trade was once again flowing into the town now that the snow had melted. Although a couple of wagons and carts were in rough shape due too the deep mud and aggressive ruts left in the roadways outside town.
Heading to the City Guard of The Crossroads they were able to complete the contract with Capitan Heldar Tisus and were told that the guard did not in fact, want to deal with the still living Goblin. As a result Asher ended up taking Vratec into the hills North West of town and set him free after promising untiring pursuit if the goblin was ever found near the town again.
The rest of the group were able to get saddles, repair and sell the tents, sell one barrel of silk, get rooms, and complete other "in town" chores before calling it a night at the Blue Chariot. Only needing to pay a single silver each as they were able to get Arliden Ruh to secure them a discount if she performed for a few hours that evening.
