Background

Born on a crisp fall day with the wind and ocean mists blowing into the seaside tower of his mothers chambers. Lord Uhtred Ragnar and Lady Gythia Ragnar were well respected by their subjects within the Shivven Isles. 
Pax grew up learning both the trades of the local people fishing, sailing, trading, and war. His family also provided him tutors and his learning went well as he was quickly found to be a bright young child. By his tenth birthday his mother was pregnant again and a sister was added into his life. Old enough to think of her as something he should protect Pax took great delight in keeping Celest Ragnar out of harms way through both his teens and early twenties. 
As he moved past his teen years and into adult hood so did his responsibilities within both his family and too the land that he would soon be lord over. Along with his father guiding him he was soon seen as a source of sound judgement and calm even in the most heated arguments. His fathers second in command Farville Hilgnd the Justicar of the Shivven Isles only seven years older than Pax often sought advice from the younger lord. As time went on they became friends and together were seen as part of the bright future for the small port island. 
Having noticeably grown weary near Paxes twenty fourth birthday Uhtred Ragnar fell ill through both the Fall and Winter months. Taking his place as lord while he was bedridden Pax was again seen as a bright and just lord by the people in his fathers stead. It seemed that even though Uhtred Ragnar was getting better, that even if the worst were to happen the lands would be well taken care of. 
The night of Paxes birthday changed everything. Having invited other Lords and Ladies too the Shivven Tower Pax had just finished his last cup of mead and was heading towards his own chambers with a possible future Lady Ragnar Allivia Amaros  the daughter of Lord Annar Amaros. When suddenly in a clang of bells the guard was sounded and chaos ensued. It was soon learned that Lord Uhtred Ragnar had been stabbed in his sleep and had quickly bleed to death.
Going room to room sweeping the tower for the possible murderer the guards soon found a bloodied dagger stashed behind a washbasin in Pax's quarters. Confused and doubtful Farville Hilgnd  questioned Pax as too his whereabouts that night after the party. Pax quickly recounted the night and all was well until Allivia Amaros was found and denied ever having left with Pax. Lord Annar Amaros quickly accused Pax of murder and begrudgingly Farville Hilgnd was forced to imprison his own friend. 
While awaiting trial by the High Sea Lords Pax was visited by a man dressed in dark close fitting garments with a dark blue star in the center of the chest. After a series of questions from Pax the individual explained that he was with the West Stars Point and organization that Pax had heard of but though more myth than reality. Having learned of the plot against Pax from the Amaros family the Stars had sent he intruder to offer Pax a deal. They would free him and give him the opportunity to exact justice but he would have to swear an oath to the organization. After providing details of the plot against Pax and how Lord Annar Amaros had stacked the upcoming trial against Pax the now disgraced lord agreed too the plan on one condition. That his sister and mother also safely removed from the Shivven Isles and provided a temporary residence. 
Quickly released from his cell by the wave of the intruders hand Pax made his way out of the tower following the now cloaked individual towards his new life.
It has been eight years since that night. Pax has completed his training and apprenticeship under Jaramal Truthspeaker. Now having been sent out into the world with his own tasks and goals it is only a matter of time before Pax finds himself heading back and getting revenge for the events that took place on that fateful evening.

• The Sea Lords are primarily followers of Salia, God of the Sea and follow the more pagan like rituals that she demands. Offerings too the sea and celestial holidays are commonplace. This influence has not been lost on Pax and while not particularly religious he is aware of the existence of the gods and their influence in the mortal lives of common folk. As a rule, he believes the gods will do what they will so why get involved?

• The calm in the eye of the storm. Both as part of his training by the West Stars Point and his upbringing Pax is nearly always in control of his emotions. His history has taught him that he should be slow to trust. That trust however once built is very strong as Pax also believes any Oath or Promise should never be broken for any reason.
