Solar Distillation

Solar Distillation is a technique to aquire pure water out of salt or otherwise polluted water. This is done by putting it in a container which is heated by the sun. The heat makes the water evaporate, but leaves most contaminants behind. The evaporated water can then be condensed and collected in a different container. When left in the sun for long enough, the input container will be completely devoid of water and, in the case of water desalination, will contain solid salt. The, now clean, water has all moved to the output container and can now be used for purposes which need clean water.
Care has to be taken with what the distilled water is used for, as it is absolute pure water. Drinking pure water is not healthy for most humanoid creatures, as it will extract salt and minerals from their body instead of nourishing them. When one plans on drinking the water, a tiny bit of minerals must be added to prevent this effect from occuring.
