Purple Dragon

An almost mythical Underdark dwelling species of dragon. Purple dragons like to keep themselves to the lower reaches of the Lowerdark. Encounters with purple dragons are therefore exceedingly rare. Even when an encounter happens, a purple dragon is often mistaken for a Black Dragon. This is because not many deep-dwellers can distinguish colors in the dark, and who is going to check for less obvious signs of species when being chased by a dragon?
