Ca'tani
The people of demons. Born from the very darkness that seeks to corrupt and defile the entire world, these people were initially not trusted across the lands they lived within. Their presence still frightens people, but now they stand as stalwart and powerful defenders against the very darkness that bore them.

Anatomy
Powerful and strong, these people were meant to move mountains. Adorned with deep colored (and often red) skin, dark horns, and long curled tails with hooks, fins, or otherwise, these people embody the Hellish Domain as per the intended course.

Lifespans seem to be much greater than those of other races, being a newer and more volatile species spawned from another group of celestials.

History
Crafted by the Dark Spirits to rule the world, just as the Kla'tani and Dragons were by the Spirits long ago, these people broke free of their corruption of their own power. They fought against the darkness and became their own people on the edges of civilization.
With as long lived as this race is, some might see them as immortal. Despite this, hidden with their initial creation is a flaw. While most common in older, and especially earlier generations of these people, a disease called the Wasting exists. A genetic disease that wracks these people and very often leaves them a shell of their former self or passing on within a year. Because of this, efforts have been stated by the elders of these people to try and have offspring with individuals of native races to Te'za. Interracial marriages and children of these people are quite common!
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
Quite common! Especially with the notion of combating some of the genetic diseases this race has, there is a large push on their behalf to try and find partners beyond their own kind. This however doesn't always happen, more because of the taboo associated with people marrying into these people, rather than upon such themselves.
