Well, that was a supper of sorts at my parents.
To start, Papa and Mummy both were very warm and accepting of Rory as I had expected them to be. They were surprising in their support of our decision to go public. Though Papa might have tested Rory's mettle a bit by telling him that going public was not something that can be undone and agreeing to it was tantamount to a proposal. He also reminded Rory precedence. That he'd always be second.
Swoon warning - Rory said "two steps behind Sebastian is better than ten ahead of anyone else."

And then disaster!
Grandpapa's Private Secretary, Dean burst in with evening editions of the papers. One had my picture on it and my hands interlinked with Rory's. The headline was "Princess of Wales." What an utter and honestly insulting lack of creativity.
As you can, I'm certain, imagine, Dean was apoplectic. Even more so when he found out Grandpapa knew all of it and had sanctioned it. We've decided on a date for the announcement, two weeks. I cannot pretend that it doesn't make me happy that this is happening sooner than later, but I had expected a bit more time to settle into our relationship. Rory wants to know what I mean. We've been functionally together for a few months, which is what Anne said. I suppose they are right. But if that's true, what date do we use to celebrate our anniversaries?
Bloody hell, I sound like a schoolgirl. One might expect me to scribble Mrs. Rory Cameron on my diary.
I suppose the take away today is that it's officially going public.
I'm going to come out. And I'll do it with an amazing partner by my side. If sixteen year old Sebastian could see this.
