Diplomatic action
Ottawa is much like Toronto, immaculate. I addressed the Parliament of Canada at an early hour, 9:45 local. Typically when a monarch visits a parliamentary body of a commonwealth nation, they schedule it for later.
Still I took advantage of the moment to speak about moving ever forward. I said that the beautiful thing about the Commonwealth is that despite each nation having it's own unique history, heritage and culture, it is our commonalities rather than our differences that define the human experience. The Commonwealth allows us to honour and be true to our individualities while remaining united in a common goal, the betterment of life for all.
After Rory joked that I'm "really good at that" and I should "think about leadership sometime."
Cheeky bugger.
