Diplomatic action

7th August, Y100 Monday We pass through the the Strait of Gibralter in the morning. The original plan was to reprovision but we decided to push through to Australia and reprovision in Sydney. The water as we sailed through the Bay of Biscay was pretty rough but it wasn't a nightmare. The further south we get the warmer it gets. If it wasn't August it might be nice. This morning when I got up, it was 29 degrees! Rory said that 85 in fahrenheit. Once we're in the Med, I expect it to get even warmer.
At some point we'll pick up Royal Navy escorts. During our time in the Red Sea we'll have several ships until we're set out far into the Indian Ovean. Last time I was in that part of the world I'd flown. While it was faster, it was nowhere near as comforting and pleasant as travelling aboard the Britannia.
