I cannot believe how quickly five years have passed. It's already Gran's Sapphire Jubilee. Sixty-five years on the throne. Not a small achievement. Gran has asked me to give a small speech at the Jubilee Concert next Friday night. Actually what she said was "Sebastian you're doing the clossing address for however many Jubilee's I have left." I didn't particularly care for that wording at it implies there might not be many left.
Most of us are announcing several new charitable inititives and programmes. For me, after working with the Royal Foundation and British Swimming and Diving, I'm announcing "Heads Up," a campaign in the Swimming and Diving communities to encourage people in sport to discuss mental health, to try to de-stigmatize those conversations. I'm also announcing my patronage of Our Frontline. Our Frontline is an incredible organization that works to provide our First Responders, nurses, and carers with specialized mental health services while conducting research on the specific needs of our frontline carers.
