I'm in the "northwest Territories" of Canada. It's an area of First Nations people. I spoke, in only heavily practiced Inuvialuktun - First Nation of North America.
I've already received a call from Grandpapa for commenting on the tragedy of lost First Nation cultures as a result of colonization.
He actually told me that the word "colonization and "colonizer" should not be in my public vocabulary. It was inulting and I started to push back. Until he actually felt the need to remind me that while I am the Duke of Cambridge, he is the Prince of Wales and while a day will come where I will be king it will be long after he is king and long after he is dead.
