More scandal, more bribery, more of Crenshaw's lies. Gran actually called me to tell me that he told her that he intends to hold on as long as possible but that opposition is mounting in his own party. He actually asked her to voice her support for him to shore up support within his party. Gran flat out refused to. She told him that she would not interfere in the proper function of government. Of course we all know she has interfered before but that wasn't the point. Gran said she thought Crenshaw would last at least until the Jubilee. But about ten minutes ago the BBC reported that an unnamed cabinet minister had leaked that the Foreign Secretary is trying to push Crenshaw Out. I've only met the woman once and she seemed ambitious to say the least, so I'm not terribly surprised. Trade unmatched corruption for unrivaled ambition? She's nearly in Number 10 already, so her ambition can't stretch too much further. I'm not sure why her ambition frightens me. It's not as if she'll be around when I get to the Throne.
