We are staying in a small farmhouse just outside of the Chernobyl exclusion zone. It's admittedly a stressor being so close to the Chernobyl plant knowing it's still pumping out radiation but we brought radiation detectors -- a requirement of the UK government heath and safety -- as so far we've had no abnormal radiation dosage.
My anxiety has been running pretty high since we left Czechia. I've been averaging an extra anti-anxiety tablet every day. It's been a whole other layer of stress as the Firm made it very clear that no one on this trip was to know I'm on any medications.
The housework here in Ukraine is quite a bit more than it had been in Czechia. Mostly because there are several appliances that are "clean" but take a lot more labour to function.
